1. What this policy covers
This policy explains the data flows involved when you visit Just One Chess at justonechess.com or contact the site by email.
You can play without creating an account or providing an email address. Game state, move generation, engine evaluation, and PGN creation run on your device in the browser.
2. Hosting and delivery
The site is delivered through Cloudflare. Like other web hosts and security providers, Cloudflare may process ordinary request data such as IP address, browser and device information, requested URL, referring page, and timestamps to deliver, secure, and troubleshoot the service. Just One Chess does not maintain a player account or remote game-history database.
3. Storage on your device
The site stores the sound preference under one_chess_sound in browser local storage. This is not an advertising cookie and does not identify a player. You can remove it by clearing site data in your browser. The current application does not set its own cookies.
4. Analytics and advertising
The current site code does not load analytics or advertising scripts. It includes a non-executable AdSense account meta tag and an ads.txt declaration to verify the publisher relationship; those files do not set cookies or show ads.
If advertising is enabled later, Google and its partners may process identifiers, cookies, IP addresses, and device or interaction data. The site will update this policy and deploy an appropriate consent mechanism before serving ads where consent is required. Learn how Google uses data on partner sites in Google's policy.
5. External links and email
Links to other sites, including ChessPact, are governed by those sites' policies after you follow them. If you email contact@justonechess.com, the message, address, and attachments are processed by the relevant email providers and used to respond to your request.
6. Children's privacy
The site does not ask players for a birth date or knowingly collect personal information from children through a player account. A parent or guardian can contact us if they believe personal information was sent by email and should be deleted.
7. Contact and changes
Questions or deletion requests can be sent to contact@justonechess.com. Material changes to these practices will be reflected on this page with a revised effective date.
